About

Themes: Reducing Emissions, Reaching Carbon Neutrality.

 

Purposes: Through drawing competition, to promote reducing carbon emissions, using clean energy, green transportation and planting, thus reaching the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.

 

A【Drawing Competition】

 

Sectors:

1) Junior Primary School -- Primary 1 to 3 School Pupils

2) Senior Primary School / Junior Secondary School – Primary 4 to Secondary 3 School Students

3) Senior Secondary School – Secondary 4 to 6 School Students

4) Open Sector -- Tertiary Institution Students, Working and Retired Persons

 

*The dividing line for the Sectors is class attended on 1 August, 2023.

 

Guidelines and contents:

a) Drawings may be done on paper or canvas, at maximum of A3 size, vertically or horizontally.

b) Drawings may be in colour or black-and-white.

c) The contents shall comply with the Themes and Purposes of this competition.

d) For the sake of fairness, work must be hand-drawn.

 

Submission methods:

a) Please download the "Joining Form" and fill it out.

b) Please scan the signed Form and Drawing for this competition, or take a photographic image thereof, and email the e-copies of the Form and Drawing to <info@sf.org.hk>.

c) The Drawing file should be in the JPEG format, the maximum size shall be 10MB.

d) Only one entry should be submitted per participant. Please retain the original, in case it is needed for exhibition.

e) Schools may submit students’ works en bloc, so long as the forms are individually completed.

 

Deadline: 30 September, 2023 (as per the email date).

 

Adjudication:

a) An Adjudication Panel comprising members of the public will be formed to select the winning entries.

b) The selection criteria shall include: contents, creativity, colouring and artistic skills.

B [Coluoring Competition]

 

Kindergarten parent-child group----kindergarten childern attending kindergarten (with the assistance of parents/guardians)

 

*The dividing line for the Sectors is class attended on 1 August, 2023.

 

Guidelines and contents:

a) Please download the "Base Sketch", printing (A3 or A4), coloring.

b) Children: responsible for coloring, and can add lines and content to the coloring draft to enhance the message of "reducing carbon emissions and moving towards carbon neutrality" -- (accounting for 80%).

c) Parents: Use about 20 words at the bottom of the coloring manuscript to introduce to children the method of "reducing carbon emissions and moving towards carbon neutrality" (accounting for 20%).

 

Submission methods:

a) Please download the "Joining Form" and fill it out.

b) Please scan the signed Form and colouring work for this competition, or take a photographic image thereof, and email the e-copies of the Form and colouring work to <info@sf.org.hk>.

b) The parent’s messages are weighted 20% while the child’s colouring works will take up 80%.

Announcement of results:

a) Winners will be informed individually by email, telephone, or letter.

b) Results will be announced at the Surein Foundation website <www.sf.org.hk> in the 4th quarter 2023.

Kindergarten Parent-child Sector (Coluoring Competition)

1st Prize (1 winners): A certificate and book coupon of HK$500

2nd Prize (2 winners): A certificate and book coupon of HK$300

3rd Prize (3 winners): A certificate and book coupon of HK$200

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Junior School Sector (Drawing Competition)

1st Prize: A certificate and book coupon HK$700

2nd Prize: A certificate and book coupon HK$500

3rd Prize: A certificate and book coupon of HK$300

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Senior Primary/Junior Secondary School Sector (Drawing Competition)

1st Prize: A certificate and book coupon of HK$900

2nd Prize: A certificate and book coupon HK$700

3rd Prize: A certificate and book coupon of HK$500

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Senior Secondary School Sector (Drawing Competition)

1st Prize: A certificate and book coupon HK$1,200

2nd Prize: A certificate and book coupon HK$1,000

3rd Prize: A certificate and book coupon HK$800

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Open Sector (Drawing Competition)

1st Prize: A certificate and cash prize of HK$3,000

2nd Prize: A certificate and cash prize of HK$2,000

3rd Prize: A certificate and cash prize of HK$1,000

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Exhibition of Winning Works: The Surein Foundation will exhibit the winning entries at the Surein Foundation website <www.sf.org.hk> and at the Sun Museum, Kowloon. Details will be announced.

 

Matters for Attention:

1. Entries received will not be returned.

2. Competitors shall comply with the Competition Rules. Violators will be disqualified.

3. Works submitted must be original and have not been submitted to other competitions.

4. Competitors warrant that their submitted works do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any person(s) or corporation(s) nor have there been claims from any third parties. Violators will be disqualified from the competition. The consequential legal responsibilities shall be borne personally by the competitors concerned. The competitors shall also indemnify the Surein Foundation HK for all liabilities incurred as a result of their breach of warranty above.

5. The Surein Foundation HK may print, promulgate, publish and exhibit the works received, without the need for consent of the competitors, or payment of fees.

6. The decision on winning entries by the Surein Foundation HK shall be final.
