Surein Foundation Environmental Education Study-Trip Scholarship 2024
Purpose
The "Surein Foundation Environmental Education Study-Trip Scholarship 2024" is established to subsidise students to undertake prudent study-trips in Hong Kong or abroad, to learn the local culture, green initiatives, clean-energy transport, organic farming, waste management and related measures.
Number
The total scholarship for 2024 is not more than HKD $10,000, for no more than 20 persons.
Eligibility and Conditions
1. Residents of Hong Kong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, who are full-time students of secondary schools or universities.
2. The duration is 3-5 days, inclusive of departure and return days.
3. The study-tour must be completed within 2024.
4. If applying as a group through a school or community organisation, a reasonable number of teachers/leaders may be included.
5. Submission of a 500-800 word "Study Report" to Surein Foundation upon completion, within 3 months after study-trip. The report can be written in Chinese or English, and should include the dates, locations, environmental projects, photos and reflections of the study trip.
6. Consent to Surein Foundation’s using the "Study Report" in the Foundation's official website and social media platforms.
7. Surein Foundation only grants the scholarship. Applicants shall purchase their own travel insurance.
Places of Study
In the Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Guangdong Province. Other than these, other places will be considered with valid reasons.

Adjudication
1. The Surein Foundation Scholarships Committee will process Applications received.
2. The Approval criteria shall include, but not limited to, contents, school/grade of study, location, environmental-education themes, duration, nature of the applying / organising institution, and availability of other sources of funding.
3. The decision of the Surein Foundation Board of Directors shall be final.
