Surein Foundation Holds Cheque Presentation Ceremony for Awardees of Environmental Scholarships 2026

On 8 May 2026 (Friday), Surein Foundation held the 2026 Surein Environmental Scholarship Cheque Presentation Ceremony at its Wan Chai office. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. James Kwan Yuk Choi, JP, Chairman of the Surein Foundation Scholarship Committee, and attended by members of the Surein Foundation’s directors.

The Surein Foundation Environmental Scholarship aims to recognise outstanding achievements by individuals and organisations in the fields of environmental research, learning, and the promotion of sustainability in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Through this initiative, the foundation seeks to encourage more committed talents to engage in sustainable development and to work together towards building a greener future.

This year’s awardees came from a diverse range of backgrounds and sectors, reflecting the foundation’s emphasis on cross-sector collaboration in advancing environmental protection and social sustainability. Awardees included undergraduates from Hong Kong Baptist University; teachers and students from AD&FD POHL Leung Sing Tak College; and a social welfare non-profit organisation, Hong Kong Network for the Promotion of Inclusive Society.

Surein Foundation Scholarship, with a total amount of HK$10,000, was jointly awarded to Mr. Ho Tsz Kin and Mr. Lai Wai Kit, undergraduates from Hong Kong Baptist University.
