The "Greater Bay Area Culture and Yunfu City Surein Green Farm Study Tour," organized by Tanner Hill Workshop and co-organized by the Surein Foundation, was successfully held from October 31 to November 2, 2025, and has now concluded. This three-day event involved a total of 24 participants. Centered around the themes of "Eco-living, Cultural Experience, and Farmstead Slow Living," the study tour, led by Professor Kwan Man Shan, Chairman of Tanner Hill Workshop, provided participants with an in-depth journey blending cultural exploration and environmental education.
The itinerary was diverse and closely aligned with the two core themes of "Greater Bay Area Culture" and "Eco-Friendly Farmstead." Participants first visited ‘’33xu Street’’in Jiangmen, experiencing traditional Lingnan century-old architecture and local street culture. This was followed by visits to the solemn "Guan Yin Temple" and "Guo'en Temple," offering a spiritual cleanse.
The highlight of the study tour was the visit to the "Surein Green Farm" in Xinxing County, Yunfu City. Here, participants personally learned about and practiced the environmental "5R" principles (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle) and composting techniques, integrating environmental concepts into daily life. Furthermore, everyone took part in farming activities, including tea picking and animal feeding, and experienced the rare joy of horseback riding, deeply appreciating the rhythm of "Farmstead Slow Living" and the wisdom of harmony between humans and nature.
