"Jiangmen Cultural History and Yunfu Eco-Farming Leadership Training Study Tour" Successfully Concluded. Nurturing Young Leaders, Deepening Environmental Awareness and Cultural Heritage

23 Students Immersed in Jiangmen and Yunfu to Develop Environmental and Sustainable Leadership (Part 2)

Day 3: Connecting with the Land, Learning Sustainability, Cultivating CompassionThe final day of the itinerary brought participants back to the land, transitioning from sensory learning to hands-on practice. Students visited a Chinese herbal medicine research garden, where they touched and carefully smelled various raw herbal materials, gaining an understanding of the practical value of natural resources. Later, beside a compost pit, they learned the principles of eco-friendly composting. Together with teachers and students from Queen's College Old Students' Association Secondary School, they planted saplings, turning their green commitments into action. The highly anticipated horseback riding experience marked the conclusion of the tour. Under the guidance of professional trainers, students learned to groom and feed the horses, and even stepped into the riding arena themselves, experiencing the profound significance of life education and team discipline through both dynamic and tranquil moments.
